Importance Of Wildlife Training Camp

Under the aegis of Animal Rescue Squad, Goa and following the able leadership of Sir Amrut Singh the members and volunteers of this Animal Rescue Squad in association with Rotaract Club of Ponda organized their first Importance of wildlifeTraining Camp Rotaract Hall, Tisk, Ponda, Goa on 18th April 2010.

A representative from the Department of Forests, Officer Mr. Paresh Porob explained about the wildlife acts and regulations that are in force for protecting wildlife in Goa.


This was a full day activity of action, interaction, slide show presented about poaching activities and the damage it does both to domestic and wild animals.

The major Programme of Snake demonstration and Snake bite management was meticulously handled by the president of Animal Rescue Squad, Mr. Amrut Singhbal Singh.

Sir Amrut demonstrated how to handle snakes the right way. He explained how to differentiate between poisonous and non poisonous snakes. He also explained the rules and regulations for joining and becoming a member of Animal Rescue Squad.

The first Importance of wildlife training camp was a huge success with all the members present, volunteers participating and hundreds of lay persons with some amount of love towards wildlife and nature attended with dedication and interest.

All the participants who remained present till the end of the Importance of wildlife training camp were felicitated with a Certificate of Participation.
